Cataract

GS Eye Center wants to create ophthalmology that delivers good results, makes people feel comfortable, and spreads good wills.

What is IOL?

An intraocular lens (IOL) refers to an artificial lens that can replace the original lens after cleanly removing a lens clouded by a cataract. There are various types of IOLs, from monofocal to multifocal lenses. Lenses suitable for individual lifestyles and eye conditions can be chosen.

Monofocal IOL

Mono focus on either close- or far-range distance

  • Monofocal IOL
  • Mono focus on either close- or far-range distance
  • Only improve either close- or far-range vision
  • Wearing a magnifying glasses (or glasses) after surgery
  • Those who are rarely involved with work and activities at close-range distance
  • Relatively easy

Multifocal IOL

Multi focus from close-range to far-range distance

  • Multifocal IOL
  • Multi focus on both close- and far-range distances
  • Vision improvement at any distance of close-range + mid-range + far-range
  • Not wearing a magnifying glasses (or glasses) after surgery
  • Those who are frequently involved with work and activities at close-range distance
  • Relatively hard

AT LISA tri Family Carl Zeiss | Germany

The LISA tri lens is a trifocal IOL that offers close-range vision, reduced night vision deterioration, and reduced light glare. With optical technology recognized worldwide, it automatically adjusts the amount of light transmitted through the lens to provide clear vision from close-range to far-range distances.

  • History of 175 years...

It is multifocal IOL called LISA tri for patients with cataracts and presbyopia in which the optical technology of ZEISS in Germany is integrated.

  • Provision of clear vision at all distances

With excellent optical design, it provides visual acuity at all distances of close-range, mid-range, and far-range.

  • Low dependency on glasses after surgery

    • Minimal incidence of light glaring
    • Quick and clear return to daily life

AT LARA FamilyCarl Zeiss | Germany

The LALA lens is a continuous focus IOL that has reduced night vision impairment and especially light glaring phenomenon. It provides a wider field of view than a monofocal IOL with reduced side effects.

  • Provision of excellent vision and improvement of contrast sensitivity with continuous focus lens

It provides excellent vision by ensuring continuous focus, and its diffraction grating improves contrast sensitivity.

  • Provision of clear vision above mid-range distance

It provides clear vision with continuous focus from above mid-range distance.

  • Low dependency on glasses after surgery

    • Minimal incidence of light glaring
    • Quick and clear return to daily life

Clareon PanOptixAlcon| USA

The CLAREON lens has secured continuous field of view with a quadrifocal IOL. It offers clear vision at close-, mid-, and far-range distances with high light usage, and the clean IOL material provides excellent visual acuity.

  • It provides clear vision at 60 cm, mid-range distance customized for Koreans by using the quadruple focus principle.

  • It reduces glare and after-cataract and provides clearer vision through material change and edge design.

  • With high refractive safety and quick recovery by minimal incision, 99% of people say that they are willing to undergo surgery again with the same lens.

AcrySof IQ PanOptixAlcon| USA

The PanOptix lens is a quadrifocal IOL suitable for lifestyle of Koreans.
The efficacy and safety of US FDA approved IOL have been demonstrated based on 120 million eye surgery experience.

  • It provides clear vision at any distance by transmitting the most amount of light to retina using 88% higher light energy.

  • It provides clear vision at 60 cm, mid-range distance customized for Koreans by using the quadruple focus principle.

  • It provides high-quality vision day or night by reducing dependence on the iris size using 4.5 mm diffraction zone.

AcrySof IQ VivityAlcon| USA

The VIVITY lens, a continuous focus IOL, reduces night glare utilizing all the light like a monofocal lens. You can return to normal daily life after surgery by applying US FDA approved Wavefront-shaping technology.

  • Glare similar to monofocal lens through Wavefront-shaping (X-wave) technology

  • Provide clear vision at above mid-range with FDA certified far-range vision of 1.0 / mid-range vision of 0.8 or higher / close-range vision of 0.63.

  • Appropriate for eyes with retinal disease or glaucoma with its high contrast sensitivity
